Join NYSA Pottery Workshops for an enriching and hands-on experience in the world of ceramics. Whether you're a novice or have some prior experience, this course group offers a welcoming environment to explore pottery techniques, unleash your creativity, and craft stunning ceramic pieces. Our skilled instructors will guide you through each step of the process, from molding clay to firing and glazing, ensuring that you develop a strong foundation in pottery. Collaborate with fellow enthusiasts, share ideas, and witness your skills evolve in this engaging and dynamic pottery journey.

At NYSA Pottery, your workshop creations will be ready for pickup in approximately 3 to 4 weeks with our twice-weekly firing schedule. Here's a quick overview:

1. Drying (2-3 days): Pieces air dry.
2. First Firing and Cooling (2 days): Initial firing and cooling down.

3. Glazing: We apply the glazes you chose during the workshop. If you use underglaze, we add a clear glaze after the first firing.

4. Second Firing (2 days): Enhances colors and textures.

5. Pickup Notification: You'll receive an email from pottery@nyschoolarts.com when your pieces are ready.

At NYSA, we host Sip & Paint Events where you're invited to immerse yourself in wine and creativity! With each session, we introduce a fresh theme, ranging from tranquil landscapes to lively neon masterpieces and joyful holiday scenes.

While our Sip & Paint nights cater to adults, we periodically host alcohol-free family-friendly sessions and other special events, ensuring there's something for everyone to enjoy after a week of hard work. Come join us and let your imagination run wild!

Cooking Art Events

We celebrate creativity through our Cooking Art Events. These special occasions are themed around holidays and offer a unique opportunity for students to explore the culinary arts in an artistic way. Using a diverse range of edible materials like cookies, candies, chocolates, and organic food colors, participants get to create visually stunning and delicious masterpieces. Join us for a fun-filled experience where food becomes art!

Events and Workshop Policies

No refunds or credits will be granted for cancellations made within three (3) days of the events or workshop date.
A $20 cancellation fee will apply to all cancellation requests.
Workshops do not offer makeup sessions for missed classes.
